Hurricane Flora (1963) was a Category 4 hurricane of the 1963 Atlantic season. It formed on September 28, 1963, reached its peak of 150 mph (241 km/h) and a minimum pressure of 933 mb on October 3, 1963, and made landfall 5 times — first near Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago on September 30, 1963 as a Category 2 hurricane (104 mph). Later landfalls: 18 mi SSW of Tigwav, Haiti on October 4, 1963 as a Category 4 hurricane (150 mph); 22 mi ESE of Guantánamo, Guantánamo Province, Cuba on October 4, 1963 as a Category 3 hurricane (121 mph); near Santa Cruz del Sur, Camagüey, Cuba on October 7, 1963 as a Category 2 hurricane (98 mph); and more. It rapidly intensified by 51 mph in 24 hours (to 86 mph on September 30, 1963). The storm lasted 19.3 days and travelled about 6,898 miles (11,098 km).
