How to read these pages

Tide predictions are astronomical calculations, so NOAA publishes them a year and more in advance. Heights are measured from Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW), the average of each day's lower low tide — which is why some low tides are negative ("minus tides"). Real water levels differ from the prediction when wind or a storm pushes water onshore; where NOAA has a sensor, each station page shows the measured level next to the predicted tide. Times follow the station's local time, including daylight saving time.
