Hurricane Jeanne (2004) was a Category 3 hurricane of the 2004 Atlantic season. It formed on September 13, 2004, 94 mi ESE of Le Moule, Guadeloupe, reached its peak of 121 mph (194 km/h) and a minimum pressure of 950 mb on September 25, 2004, and made landfall 5 times — first near Saint-François, Guadeloupe on September 14, 2004 as a tropical depression (35 mph). Later landfalls: near Arroyo, Puerto Rico on September 15, 2004 as a tropical storm (69 mph); near Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on September 16, 2004 as a Category 1 hurricane (81 mph); 18 mi SE of Cooper’s Town, Bahamas on September 25, 2004 as a Category 3 hurricane (115 mph); and more. It rapidly intensified by 34 mph in 24 hours (to 63 mph on September 15, 2004). The storm lasted 15.8 days and travelled about 3,661 miles (5,890 km).
