Hurricane Rina (2011) was a Category 3 hurricane of the 2011 Atlantic season. It formed on October 22, 2011, 48 mi E of San Andrés, Colombia, reached its peak of 115 mph (185 km/h) and a minimum pressure of 966 mb on October 25, 2011, and made landfall near Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo, Mexico on October 28, 2011 as a tropical storm (58 mph). It rapidly intensified by 58 mph in 24 hours (to 104 mph on October 25, 2011). The storm lasted 7.3 days and travelled about 1,017 miles (1,637 km).
