Hurricane Simon (2014) was a Category 4 hurricane of the 2014 Eastern Pacific season. It formed on September 30, 2014, 149 mi S of Acapulco de Juárez, Guerrero, Mexico, reached its peak of 132 mph (213 km/h) and a minimum pressure of 946 mb on October 5, 2014, and never made landfall. It rapidly intensified by 58 mph in 24 hours (to 121 mph on October 4, 2014). The storm lasted 8.5 days and travelled about 1,857 miles (2,988 km).
