It formed on October 3, 2023, reached its peak of 138 mph (222 km/h) and a minimum pressure of 942 mb on October 11, 2023, and made landfall 20 mi NW of Tomatlán, Jalisco, Mexico on October 11, 2023 as a Category 4 hurricane (138 mph). It rapidly intensified by 57 mph in 24 hours (to 138 mph on October 11, 2023). The storm lasted 8.5 days and travelled about 1,708 miles (2,748 km).
