Hurricane Franklin (2023) was a Category 4 hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic season. It formed on August 19, 2023, 52 mi ESE of Calliaqua, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, reached its peak of 150 mph (241 km/h) and a minimum pressure of 926 mb on August 29, 2023, and made landfall near Enriquillo, Dominican Republic on August 23, 2023 as a tropical storm (46 mph). It rapidly intensified by 52 mph in 24 hours (to 144 mph on August 28, 2023). The storm lasted 21.0 days and travelled about 6,709 miles (10,795 km).
